How to read Eligibility
Example 1: Eligibility: Category – I – Base Cut Off: Includes a student who has studied four of the following subjects: Accounts (Book keeping), Commerce (Business Studies, Business Organisation or Business Management), Economics, Mathematics, Computers and relevant Vocational Subjects; Category – II – Base Cut Off + 2%: Includes a student who has studied only three of the subjects mentioned in Category I; Category – III – Base Cut Off + 4%: Includes a student who has studied only two of the subjects mentioned in category I; Category - IV – Base Cut Off + 6%: Includes a student who has studied only one of the subjects mentioned in Category I; Category – V – Base Cut Off + 10%: Includes a student who has not studied any of the subjects mentioned in category I
It means that if the cut off is given as 80%, then the cut off would be 80% for a student who has studied four of the following subjects (Category I): Accounts (Book keeping), Commerce (Business Studies, Business Organisation or Business Management), Economics, Mathematics, Computers and relevant Vocational Subjects; cut off would be 82% for a student who has studied only three of the subjects mentioned in Category I; cut off would be 84% for a student who has studied only two of the subjects mentioned in category I; cut off would be 86% for a student who has studied only one of the subjects mentioned in Category I; cut off would be 90% for a student who has not studied any of the subjects mentioned in category I
Example 2: Eligibility: Must have 50% in English and Base cut off -5% for girls in all cases; Base cut off +5% without history.
Suppose cut off is 75%. This means that all the students must have 50% in English; for girls cut off would be 70%; for students not having history cut off for them will be 80% but girls will have a cut off of 75%.
