B. Com.

Minimum percentage of marks required is 40% in qualifying examination. The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best elective subjects.

Commerce is the "buzz" word in today's time. A bachelor’s degree in commerce opens the door to wide options for students etc. B. Com. helps a student understand the basis like management, accounts, taxation, economic etc. This course sees the second largest enrolment in the University.

Careers/ Fields/ Specialisation: Banking, Civil Services, Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Work Accountancy (CWA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), entrepreneurs, Finance, investment, Insurance Management, MBA etc.

Subjects: Each student has to appear in 5 papers in 1st year, 6 papers in 2nd year and 5 papers in 3rd year. The 3rd year has optional and compulsory papers.  1st year: Business Organisation and Management; Financial Accounting (bifurcated into two papers); Business & Industrial Law; Economics-I (Principles of Economics); Assamese/ Bengali/ Hindi-A/ Hindi-B/ Manipuri/ Punjabi-A/ Punjabi-B/ Sindhi/ Tamil/ Telugu/ Urdu/ History-I (History of India upto Eight Century AD)/ History-II (Cultures in Indian Subcontinents)/ Political Science (Political Theory and Thought)/ Philosophy (ETHICS: Theory and Practice); 2nd Year: Business Mathematics And Statistics; Corporate Accounting; Company and Compensation Laws; Income Tax And Auditing; Economics-II (Macro-Economics);  English; 3rd Year: Cost Accounting; Computer Application in Business; Economics-III (Economic Development and Policy in India); Bengali/ Hindi/ Punjabi Compulsory-A/ Punjabi Compulsory-B/ Telugu/ Urdu/ Political Science (Politics of Globalization)/ History-1 (Cultural Transformation in Early Modern Europe 1500-1800) / History-2 (History of India 1750-1970s)/ Business English; Financial Management/ Marketing Management/ Human Resource Management/ E-Commerce.

·   Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College. Seats: 100. Hindi as a medium of instruction is available. Less 3% for girls in Base cut off in all cases; Base cut off +5% for non commerce; Base cut off +7% for comm. Vocational.

·   Bhagini Nivedita College. Seats: 120. Hindi as a medium of instruction is available.                   

·   Bharati College (W) Hindi as a medium of instruction is available.

·   Bhim Rao Ambedkar College Seats: 120. Less 5% for girls in Base cut off in all cases.

·   Daulat Ram College (W). Seats: 50.  Mixed medium of Hindi and English is available. Base cut off +5% without commerce.

·   Kamala Nehru College (W). Seats: 80. Base cut off +4% for Science/ Arts; Base cut off +2% for one comm. Vocation with commerce stream.

·   Kirori Mal College. Seats: 55

·   Lakshmibai College for Women. Seats: 120.  Hindi as a medium of instruction is available. Must have had English & Maths in class 12.              

·   Maitreyi College (W)

·   Mata Sundari College for Women Mixed medium of Hindi and English is available.

Base cut off  +5% for non commerce stream. In reserved category number of seats are limited. The admission in a centre will be stopped as soon as seats are filled. College Seats: 180 Base cut off for students having English or Hindi with three subjects (out of Economics, Business Studies, Math, Accounts, Management or Insurance (academic)); Base cut off +5% for students having English or Hindi with any three subjects. Base Cut Off + 6% for other then commerce students.

·   Ram Lal Anand College (E) Hindi as a medium of instruction is available. Base cut off +5% without commerce.

·   Ram Lal Anand College Hindi as a medium of instruction is available. Base Cut Off +3% for without commerce students.

·   Ramjas College. Seats: 40. Base cut off +2% for Commerce with Maths/ Computer Science; Base cut off +4% for English + Maths + any 2; Base cut off +5% for English + any 3 excluding language.

·   Satyawati College (E) Hindi as a medium of instruction is available. Less 5% for girls in Base cut off in all cases.  Base cut off  +2% for each subject not studied – Bus. St., Acts. & Eco.
